Professional statement:

Dr Rahim Akram is an esteemed musculoskeletal radiology registrar who is renowned for his work in musculoskeletal and general radiology.

His medical studies and training began at the University of Sheffield where he received his MBChB in 2019 and in 2024, Dr Akram completed his radiology training and gained the FRCR (Fellowship of the Royal College of Radiologists) qualification. Thereafter, he continued his studies with a focus on musculoskeletal radiology and proceeded to gain his Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK’s Diploma in Musculoskeletal Medicine.

Dr Akram has won several prizes nationally for clinical research and academic writing such as the prestigious Steven Carstairs Research prize and the British Society of Interventional Radiology essay prize. He is also been awarded the coveted Musculoskeletal Radiology fellowship in Toronto where he will gain extensive experience into the gamuts of MSK Radiology.

Dr Akram also champions primary prevention advice and regularly encourages patients to be advocates for their own health. He has also published extensively in Radiology.

He is an active member of British Society of Skeletal Radiology, European Society of Skeletal Radiology and has Diplomate Membership of the Faculty of Sport and Exercise Medicine UK.
